COMPANY DONATION MATCHING PROGRAM

Many companies match donations you make to the Thoreau PTA. Taking a moment to double your giving provides enormous benefits for your student(s).

• If you are employed by Microsoft, Maximize your Microsoft Match! Go to your MS GIVE link. Select Henry David Thoreau PTA as your organization. Did you know they will also match your Volunteer time by paying $25 a hour to the school? Check it out!
• If you are employed by Boeing, access gift matching by clicking here or by logging into Boeing's Total Access intranet, then click on "My Community Giving," "Gift Match," and follow the screen instructions.
• If you are employed by any other company that matches employee donations to non-profits, contact your human resources department for details. The PTA EIN# is Non-Profit Tax ID Number 91-1093152

VOLUNTEER TIME

Some employers will generously match volunteer time with a financial gift. It is always a good idea to confirm that your employer offers a volunteer matching hours program, what the requirements are, and where to find the form or website for submitting the volunteer hours information. We know that many companies like Starbucks, Microsoft, Expedia, T-Mobile, Symetra and Google do!

Box Tops for Education

Dear Thoreau Families,

My name is Elaine Minnich and I am the new Box Tops for Education Chairperson for the Thoreau Elementary PTA. This program both earns money and merchandise for the Thoreau PTA! This year, the process is even easier...all you need to do is download the app, take a picture of your grocery receipt, and associate it to Thoreau Elementary...the app then figures the items to calculate! You can also still send in your labels from the things you already buy for your family. Turn them in to the teacher or the office and they can place them in the PTA mailbox.

Each Box Top is worth a minimum of 10 cents! The PTA then uses these funds and merchandise to support every child at Thoreau. We have increased the Art Docent inventory over the years and purchased Gator Skin balls for P.E. class. EVERY CLIPPING COUNTS!

With Box Tops for Education (www.btfe.com) you can help earn cash for our PTA every time you clip Box Tops coupons, shop online at the Box Tops Marketplace, or order books through the Box Tops Reading Room. You can also earn “eboxtops” by registering at www.GrowingLocalLearning.com and then doing your regular shopping. Occasionally, when you purchase certain products, you will receive a register receipt with a code. That code is worth box tops that the school gets credited for when you redeem it online.

The beauty of these programs is that it allows you to support Thoreau PTA without spending any more money than you already do, buying the products your family already uses. Other family members and/or friends can collect for you as well.
